Outstanding Youth Volunteer Award
The Grand Lodge Youth Activities Committee has recently implemented the OUTSTANDING YOUTH VOLUNTEER AWARD. This award will be presented to one (1) Elk from each of the eight (8) Grand Lodge Areas who has been actively involved with the youth of their community. This person MUST be an Elk and should be active not only with the Elks Youth Activity programs but, also, with other programs not necessarily connected with the Elks such as Boys and Girls Clubs, the YMCA or any other type of community youth program.
The process will begin with local Subordinate Lodges submitting a resume of activities of a deserving individual, along with his/her name, address, telephone number, Lodge name and number and e-mail address, if available, to their State Youth Activities Chairperson. State Youth Activities Chairpersons will make a selection for their state and it will be forwarded to their Area representative of the Grand Lodge Youth Activities Committee. This Committee member will then determine the winner from their respective Area. The due date to the Area representative will be NO LATER THAN May 29th.
The award, along with a congratulatory letter, will be sent to the winner’s Lodge for presentation and their name will be read at the Grand Lodge Convention during the Youth Activities report.
