Christmas Party & Lodge 80th Anniversary Celebration combo on Dec. 12th
The Southampton Elks and the Ladies of the 1574 will combine the annual Christmas/Holidays party with a celebration of the Lodge's 80th anniversary on Saturday, December 12th. And what a celebration it will be.
The Ladies will decorate the lodge in a most festive holiday fashion, and will supply poinsetta centerpieces at the tables.
The menu will offer a choice from among four entrees (listed below). There will be a one hour open bar (from 7 to 8 p.m.) during which hors d'oeuvres will be served, and music will be supplied by "Charlie and the Keyboards", a three piece band.
The dinner will start with a Calypso Salad with grilled shrimp, mandarin orange, hearts of palm and raspberry vignarette.
Entree selections are: Rack of Lamb with corn custard and garlic mashed potatoes; or Rib Eye Steak with mushroom gravy, sauteed onions, steamed brocolli and garlic mashed potatoes; or Fish (possibly striped bass, depending on market) with tomato roasted risotto and steamed broccoli; or Chicken a la Erick, stuffed with fresh mozarella, prosciutto and mushrooms, hollandaise type sauce, with steamed broccoli.
Price for this marvelous affair will be $45 per person, a very reasonable price given the gourmet fare and live music. So members and guests are welcome to join us for this festive event. Be sure to reserve early, because this event may well sell out. Advance ticket purchase with payment must be made by Dec. 7th cutoff, and your entree choice must be selected at time of purchase. Don't be disappointed!
