On Saturday, August 3, 2024, KC Northland Elks Lodge #2376 held it's 13th Annual Down Syndrome Breakfast fundraiser, benefitting Down Syndrome Innovations. This organization strives to help families with developmentally disadvantaged children throughout the full lifespan of the child. With the help of many volunteers, our generous sponsors and loads of our local community members, we are pleased to announce that we raised close to $3,500.00 for Down Syndrome Innovations!
The preparations began in the days leading up to the event, with the main work happening the night before. There were precautions set-up in the Upstairs kitchen, while crews prepped bacon and cracked eggs for the following days buffet.
This was the first breakfast fundraiser that we have had in our newly renovated Banquet Hall. With the help of over 40 Elk volunteers, we served more than 200 people with our breakfast buffet, consisting of items like biscuits and gravy, pancakes, scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon, ham and two types of sausage!
There were several prizes available for raffle:
On hand to describe the function of Down Syndrome Innovations, was Amy Stoll, seen below with Leading Knight Toni Mallams, Exalted Ruler RD Mallams PDDGER, Amy Stoll, Bill Moore PSVP.
Of course, where would we be without or generous, neighborhood sponsors:
All in all, this was another wonderful event! The success of these fundraisers would not be possible without the combined efforts of the wonderful sponsors, the tireless volunteers and of course, our hungry neighbors!
