Richard Corson, PER Julie Washburn and Bobbi Alley from the Skowhegan-Madison Elks passed out more than 200 coloring books, crayons, rulers and candy canes at the children's petting zoo during the Dec. 4 Skowhegan Downtown Stroll. The petting zoo was sponsored through a Promise Grant from the Elks National Foundation and the promotional material was provided by the Elks Drug Awareness program.

The Skowhegan-Madison Elks hosted a September 11th ceremony at the Skowhegan Opera House in 2009 to honor those who risked their lives during the tragedy. Pictured (left to right) at Lt. Mary Foss of Madison, a regular bingo player at the Skowhegan-Madison Lodge celebrated her 105th birthday on July 9, 2009. Pictured with Mrs. Foss is lodge Bingo Chairman Alfred Carpenter.

Roger Jarvais (holding plaque) was honored as 2009 Father of the Year at a June 19 ceremony. Jarvais is a Past Elk of the Year and former chairman of the House Committee and Auditing Committee. Three of his sons are also member of the Skowhegan-Madison Lodge.



Drew Ketterer of Norridgewock was the winner of the Old Town Voyager kayak in the annual Veterans' Service Committee raffle. Ketterer's name was drawn on July 10, 2009.

Judith Bolduc (center) was named Mother of the Year by the Skowhegan-Madison Elks Lodge at the May 10,2009 observance. Pictured is 2008 Mother of the Year, Deborah Tanner (left) and Past Exalted Ruler Julie A. Washburn (right).
