Isaiah Damon, a fifth-grader at Smithfield Elementary School; and Sabryna Bisson, an eighth-grader at Skowhegan Area Middle School, were the 2006 winners of the lodge's Americanism essay contest. Each was presented with a $75 check by Committee Chairman Roger E. Leblond, PER.
Earl Vigue (left) was presented with his Honorary Life Membership plaque in the summer of 2006 by Past Exalted Ruler and HLM Alfred Carpenter. Vigue passed away in March 2007.
Tyler Blanchet of Skowhegan won the 2006 Boys 12-13 Maine State Hoop Shoot title, finishing ahead of Matthew Bullard of Sanford and Cody Savage of Bangor.
