Lodge Supports 19 Happy Campers
From July 7, 2024 through July 14, 2024, our Lodge sponsored 19 children--ages 9 through 13 to attend the Florida Elks Youth Camp in scenic Umatilla, Florida. Pictured below are campers and chaperones before their trip to camp.
According to Kathi Miller, Lodge project manager, many of these children were referred through various local agencies assisting homeless or underprivileged families. These children attend at no cost to the families through scholarships and donations by our generous membership and fund raising efforts. The children enjoy accommodations in the modern, air-conditioned cabins with restroom facilities, meals, snacks, campfires, arts & crafts, swimming, archery, boating, a rope course pictured below), and lots of fun, exercise and fresh air.
