Roebuck, AL Lodge No. 79 was instituted in 1889, and currently has 61 members.
For the year 2025, the lodge was awarded a SPOTLIGHT Grant from the Elks National Foundation to assist in the development of programs serving local youth, veterans, and others in need. Lodge members voted to use the SPOTLIGHT Grant to aid Heidi's Kids, a local non-profit, and will aid Heidi's Kids with its Blessing Sacks.
The lodge is the proud sponsor of Skylar Erwin, a winner of the MVS Scholarship 2024.The lodge meets 2nd & 4th Mondays only, at 804 Gadsden Hwy, between Roebuck Pkwy & I-459, Birmingham, AL.
The Exalted Ruler of the Lodge is Toni Thrasher, and the Secretary is Mickey Drinkard.
