Roebuck Lodge 79 Receives Spotlight Grant
Roebuck Lodge 79 was recently granted a Spotlight Grant from the ENF. In 2019- 2020 the Spotlight Grant was created to offer lodges a choice of ready-made projects to implement in their community. Now, the Spotlight Grant shines a light on three issues facing American communities - early childhood literacy, Veteran homelessness, and hunger and essential needs assistance. Lodges must choose one of seven project plans. Members of Roebuck 79 voted to use their Spotlight Grant to continue to assist Heidi's Kids with its Blessing Sacks program.
Blessing Sacks are part of Heidi's Kids take-home food program which provides meals for 120 local children over the weekend. Each Blessing Sack contains six meals and snacks.
In addition to using the Spotlight Grant to support Heidi's Kids Blessing Sacks, Roebuck Lodge 79 will be hosting a Dinner in a Can Food Drive. A donation box will be placed outside of the lodge to collect donations.
