3/18/2025 Kinderhook, NY Lodge No: 2530

used its Spotlight Grant to provide three Community Baby Showers. At these events, the Lodge provided necessities such as diapers, formula, clothing, and safety devices, along with resources and information about available local services. The Lodge partnered with various support groups, enabling face-to-face discussions at in-person events, and even adapted to a drive-thru format for the last shower due to weather concerns.

used its Gratitude Grant to continue its youth cooking classes in collaboration with Micah House, an after-school program serving children from families living below the poverty line. The program teaches middle school students essential cooking skills while providing them with enjoyable meals. The Lodge members organized and instructed each lesson, ensuring that each session ran smoothly. Additionally, Lodge members assisted in renovations to improve school facilities.

3/18/2025 Pendleton, SC Lodge No: 2861

used its Beacon Grant to support recovery efforts in areas severely affected by Hurricane Helene. This effort was concentrated in neighborhoods with fewer resources that have struggled with home repairs and cleanup. Many homeowners lack insurance and have not qualified for government assistance, leaving them in urgent need of help. The Lodge partnered with the Pendleton Community Center for tree removal and home repairs as part of community clean-up days.

The Elks National Foundation allocated nearly $16 million this year to fund the Community Investments Program. Lodges meet local needs through grants that offer Elks opportunities to serve their community in ways that will raise the Lodge's profile, energize the membership, encourage former members to return to the fold, and gain the notice of people who want to be part of an organization that's doing great things.
